It’s THANKS-O-RAMA 2020 here on GUWG, where from now through Thanksgiving we’re focusing on giving God thanks for his awesome, astounding, astonishing blessings.
Here’s a pair of verses I should force myself to repeat every 0.3 seconds:
Don’t grumble against each other, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. (James 5:9)
Do everything without complaining or arguing. (Philippians 2:14)
Basically, grumbling is the opposite of thankfulness. Here’s another verse for your consideration:
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
When are we supposed to rejoice? Always.
When should we pray? Continually.
What should we thank God for? Everything.
