Here’s an anti-anxiety Psalm shared by one of our visitors:
The Lord is my light
and my salvation–
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life–
of whom shall I be afraid?
I don’t think he’d mind me sharing what he said in his email:
Psalm 27 is a favorite of mine. There was a time in my life I was struggling with a lot of fear and anxiety. I woke up one morning and the words to the 1st verse “The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life — of whom shall I be afraid?” From that time on I would meditate on that portion of Scripture and the fear and anxiety would go away.
Amen! I suggest we all do the same.
There’s absolutely no reason to fear anyone or anything on this planet. As the Bible says elsewhere: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
