PRAYER-O-RAMA 2019 continues here on GUWG as we pray through some of the most inspiring sections of Scripture together.
So unplug, unwind, un-whatever-it-is-you’re-doing and prepare to spend some quality time with the Lord.
We’ll start today with a pair of prayers from someone the Bible refers to as a “man after God’s own heart” – David:
MORNING PRAYER
Listen to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.
Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
In the morning, Lord,
you hear my voice;
in the morning
I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.
Lord, this morning I pray for:
[add your requests here]
(From Psalm 5)
EVENING PRAYER
Answer me when I call to you,
my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
Tremble and do not sin;
when you are on your beds,
search your hearts and be silent.
Many, Lord, are asking:
“Who will bring us prosperity?”
Let the light of your face
shine on us.
Fill my heart with joy.
In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety.
Lord, tonight I pray for:
[add your requests here]
(From Psalm 4)
AMEN!
