Love Power

It’s LOVE WEEK here on GUWG.

To me, the freakiest part about being a Christian is that God — the creator of the universe — comes to live IN you. The Bible says:

Do you not know that your body
is a temple of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you,
whom you have received from God?
(1 Corinthians 6:19)

That means that God’s power is available to us mere earthlings 24/7/365. The Bible catalogs all the amazing things we can expect if we let God act in our lives. #1 on that list? LOVE.

Put another way, God wants to give us a heart transplant. He says:

I will give you a new heart
and put a new spirit in you;
I will remove from you
your heart of stone
and give you a heart of flesh.
(Ezekiel 36:26)

Let’s let God crack open our stony hearts and unleash the power of the Holy Spirit so that we can love the people around us today.
