ENCOURAGE One Another

It’s _____ ONE ANOTHER WEEK here on GUWG, where each day we’re taking a look at how the Bible says we should fill in that blank.

Yesterday, we started with Jesus’ command to LOVE one another. Today’s blank-filler offers a concrete way to live that out.

Encourage one another and build each other up.
(1 Thessalonians 5:11)

How often should we encourage one another and why should we do it?

Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
(Hebrews 3:13)

Don’t eat breakfast, lunch and/or dinner alone today. Get out there and connect with someone:

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
(Hebrews 10:24-25)

Times are tough out there. People around you are hurting. Ask God to help you encourage as many of your fellow humans as possible today. And tomorrow. And each day after that.

Encourage your spouse. Encourage your kids. Encourage your parents. Encourage your friends. Encourage your co-workers. Encourage your boss. Encourage your dentist. Encourage your gastroenterologist. The possibilities are endless.

Click here for a rather inspiring story of how a little encouragement can have a HUGE impact.
