She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made.
She came to him and asked, ”Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:39-42)
Are you more Martha or Mary?
Are you distracted? Worried? Upset? Too busy with life’s many things?
Or are you content to hang out with Jesus and listen to Him?

Thank you Jesus for reminding me that I am closer to you than to most other things. I’d rather sit and listen to you and be anxious for nothing. As I rest in Your Word, my salvation becomes clearer. My Faith is unshakable as You bring me through the trials that satan has tried to lay at my feet. I am not perfect nor will I ever be. But You Lord are perfect and I strive to be more like you on a daily basis. Thank You Lord for dying for my sins that I might see You in Your glorified state. Thank You Jesus, thank You….Amen and Amen!!!
