After healing the demon-possessed boy, Jesus took his disciples and withdrew from the crowds so that he could teach them. He started by again predicting his coming death and resurrection:
Jesus said, “Listen carefully to what I am about to say to you: The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life.”
His disciples were filled with grief. They did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it.

Let’s look at our 2 BIG Questions:
1. Who exactly is Jesus?
Jesus again uses his favorite term for himself: Son of Man — the long-awaited Savior of the Universe prophesied by Daniel hundreds of years earlier. (See Daniel 7:13.)
He’s also the Master Teacher. He repeats his key messages over and over to ensure that his disciples will remember them in the future. They don’t understand this one but they certainly will after he fulfills it by dying and rising.
2. What exactly does he want us to do?
Listen really very extremely carefully to every single word he says.
