No Grumbling Week

Do everything without complaining or arguing. (Philippians 2:14)

Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. (James 5:9)

It’s time again for our annual NO GRUMBLING WEEK here on GUWG.

I woke up this morning in a rather foul mood, feeling overwhelmed by all the work I have to do this week. Here’s what came out of my mouth:

Grumble
Grumble
Grumble
Complain
Complain
Complain
Whine
Whine
Whine
RrrrrrrGggRRrrGgggggghhhhhh

Maybe you’re feeling a bit like me. If so, please join me in reciting the following official GUWG …

NO GRUMBLING WEEK PLEDGE

I, [state your name],
do hereby solemnly vow,
that every time I feel
a grumble coming on this week,
I will ask God to help me
suppress said grumble,
pinch myself hard,
and recite one of the
above verses instead.

Thank you for your participation in this important endeavor.

(Update: It’s 7:12 a.m. and I have already pinched myself 4 times. Yikes.)

This is an excellent idea for the work place. Prayer starts at home,
Bringing it to work no matter what religion, is the most humble
And positive approach to sharing the word of God, and peace among
Each other as a team. I will definitely use this in my
Business this week.. Thank you for this wonderful idea…
