Monday Meditation

I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds. (Psalm 77:12)

When was the last time you just sat there for at least 5 minutes and thought deeeeep thoughts about God? For me, the answer is approximately 1978.

Don’t waste another minute. Clear your brain of all the crud the world tries to pack into it. And ask the Spirit to help you meditate on all the amazing things God has done for you.

Sola Scriptura

This week on GUWG, you’ll hear nothing from me. Just God’s words straight from the Bible. Spend some time with ’em. Study ’em. Soak in ’em.

Here’s today’s selection:

Do not let this Book of the Law
depart from your mouth;
meditate on it day and night,
so that you may be careful to do
everything written in it.
Then you will be
prosperous and successful.
(Joshua 1:8)

Sunday Psalm

Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
(Psalm 1:1-3)

MEDITATE ON GOD’S WORD

Psalm of the Week

For this week’s Psalm, I thought we’d start right at the beginning. Here’s a selection from Psalm 1:

Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.
(Psalm 1:1-3)

MEDITATE ON GOD’S WORD
DAY AND NIGHT

Don’t Stumble in the Dark

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105

This world can be a very dark place. Let God light the way.

Spend some quality time with your Bible today. Quiet your heart so the Holy Spirit can speak to you. Read a passage over and over until it sinks in. Use your imagination. Interact with it. Meditate on it. Memorize it. Then get out of your chair and apply it. Live it. The world needs God’s light now more than ever.

LET GOD’S WORD LIGHT YOUR WAY
