If I’m brutally honest, my prayers often have this overall theme: “Not your will, God, but MINE.” They usually consist of two parts: (1) listing all the things that didn’t go my way that day and (2) asking God to make ’em go my way the next.
We continue our journey into every word spoken by Jesus in the Gospels to help us all KNOW JESUS MORE NOW.

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him, but they could not get near to him because of the crowd. Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.”
He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
(Matthew 12:46-50, Mark 3:31-35, Luke 8:19-21)
