We wrap up VERSE-0-RAMA 2017 here on GUWG with a whirlwind tour of verses y’all shared that we haven’t discussed yet.
We’ll start with the Old Testament:
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)
Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)
And conclude with the New Testament:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see! (John 9:25b)
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:19)
I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge — that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6)
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:13-14)
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. (Colossians 3:23)
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. (Revelation 21:4)
